Four women gather for a closed AA meeting to confront Helen, a woman who’s allegedly been sleeping with each of their husbands. The intervention takes a chaotic turn when Suzanne uses a stun gun on Helen, rendering her unconscious. A newcomer, Raven, stumbles into the meeting just as things spiral out of control. The group decides to carry Helen to her car to let her “sleep it off,” hoping she will think it was all a bad dream when she wakes up. Taking Raven under their wing, the women attempt to resume their meeting. But the dynamics shift when Helen regains consciousness, revealing her own plans for intervention. Themes of betrayal, addiction, and the complexities of female relationships emerge as the women navigate their feelings toward Helen and each other; exploring the struggles of addiction, connection, and the harsh realities of facing one’s past while highlighting the often messy journey towards healing and understanding. And it’s a comedy.
