Allen has played wolves and bears at Burbank Family Theatre in Nick Tickle: Fairytale Detective, Once Upon a Wolf, and Goldilocks on Trial; once, he even played a king—in The Prince Who Wouldn’t Talk. Allen has been seen in Return To Forbidden PlanetThe Importance Of Being EarnestBonnie and Clyde: The MusicalThe Diary of Anne Frank, and the world premier of Esther in LaCanada. Allen is married to writer/director Suse Sternkopf, whose work has been produced in NYC and LA; their daughter, Mallory, is a production stage manager. Apparently, it is genetic.

Cara Newman-Ruyle

host/producer

Cara has been finding and nurturing art in motherhood, acting, teaching pilates, and writing in recent years. A Chicago actor, most recently seen in Iron Skirts inaugural show, True West (VS. Theatre), Is He Dead? (Glendale Centre Theatre), The Boy from Oz (Celebration) and at PlayGround L.A. Film & TV credits include The Cybill Show, Nick Cannon Show, and numerous voiceover work. Stage: Into The Woods, Sight Unseen, Three Tall Women, On The Verge, Quilters, Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, and Agnes of God . Look for Cara at the baseball field watching sons Brody and TJ or her Dodgers. Or telling stories of Harry Carey, singing for ther Chicago Cubbies, or eating in the White Sox team dining room before singing for them. She tells that story too much. Immensely grateful for the home team: Richard is a saint, our 4 kids (from College to kindergarten) and our fur babies.
